“Plant-for-the-Planet”- Academy: We’re taking part!
From 31.10. – 02.11.2008 the first “Plant for the Planet”- Academy is taking place in the Internationales Haus Sonnenberg in St. Andreasberg, Harz. 100 girls and boys in the 5th and 6th German grades (2 children per school) from the whole of Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen) are invited who
- want to find out more about how the forests and our climate are connected
- want to learn how children can also make as many sustainable forests as possible in a short time
- will go home as “ambassadors for climate protection” and help to start their own projects.
And we’re taking part! WaldSaat e.V. /The Forest Seeding Association will also be there to show the participants how they can sow a whole forest professionally and with simple means.
We are looking for another 25 volunteers (teachers, parents, school prefects over 18 etc.) to help groups of 4-6 pupils during arrival and departure and to act as supervisors for the duration of the event.
So come on, there are still some places left ! For more information on the aims and the program and to register go to “Plant-for-the-Planet” – Akademie.
If you have any further questions about the academy Katja Pötzsch (05582/944-116) and Caroline Beck (05582/944-117) will be pleased to help you.
